The Odyssey

Control Winds and Currents with the Mouse

Set in the world of Homeric myth, The Odyssey is a level-based casual game in which you have to guide your ships from one end of the level to the other in the face of monsters, storms, and other obstacles. What's interesting (and innovative) about it, however, is the control scheme--you move your ships by holding down the mouse button and drawing in the water to create currents, and by changing the direction and strength of the winds by moving the mouse within a wind-control region of the screen.

In other words, the physical actions you take to play the game are quite different from the norm. The results can be frustrating at times, because you're affecting your ships indirectly rather than directly, and getting the result you want is sometimes a challenge--but that's part of what makes the game interesting, of course.

The Developer Says

Step into the shoes of the Goddess Athena and help guide Ulysses’ fleet to safety. Fend-off Cyclopes, Harpies and more while creating currents and winds to lead the boats to their destination.

Follow one of the most famous stories ever written as you retrace the route of Ulysses in his attempt to return home from the Trojan wars. Incredibly realistic water current behavior will amaze and challenge you as you use your godly powers to protect the Hero’s fleet.

Included in the Full Version:

- Unrestricted gameplay lets you play through all 10 chapters of Homer’s famous epic.
- Over 50 amazing hand painted levels.
- New exciting dangers for your boats including sirens, sea-monsters, storm clouds and more!
- Replay any level at will to increase your score and rating.

A Good Solid Puzzle Game

Nice Concept and Well excuted. Concepts from Homer's Odyssey weave together to make game play that is fun, entertaining, and challenging at the same time. Easily one of better puzzle games I've tried recently. Great for anyone who is into Greek Myths or loves puzzle games in general.
