Serious Games Interactive

About:

The meeting across the sea

Back in 2005 the founders of Serious Games Interactive met in San Francisco at GDC, and begun discussing how to make a different kind of games. It turned out that we all had a dream about making an intellectual stimulating game based on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that would be on level with existing computer games on the private market. At that time the founders were all involved in different projects but agreed to slowly start up the concept phase.

Quickly, there after initial work on a prototype were commenced in close collaboration with other researchers to ensure a solid and viable approach to serious games. In collaboration with the world-leading game centre at IT-university of Copenhagen and by relying on the recent 3D game engine UNITY things moved forward quickly.

Research shows the way

The results from the research project were very promising, and the collaboration expanded as initial results indicated that the first title in production was superior to other educational material - almost 60% of the students found they learned more than usually.

Today the company have reached 8 employees after getting more external funding, and we are moving forward with our primary title Global Conflicts: Palestine. However, new projects are beginning to emerge from the soup of creation.
