Digital Eel is three people: Rich "Zdim" Carlson, who works on designs and provides the music and sound; Iikka "Fingers" Keranen, who does the coding; and Bill "Phosporous" Sears, who provides the art. Rich and Iikka are long-time friends and collaborators with a long history in the games industry, working for Looking Glass, Ion Storm and (in Iikka's case) Valve; Rich got completely burned out on the industry some years back and, fed up with inane management demands and absurd "death-march" working conditions, decided to blow off his career and just make games. As Digital Eel, they have released a whole series of strange little computer games. They're a fine example of exactly the kind of independent developer Manifesto Games likes to support: creative, innovative, a little goofy, doing it all for love, and committed to excellence.
