SpiritWars strikes the perfect balance where the replay value is the draw, as you seek to find the sweet spot in your units\tactics combination. You won't get bored trying to find new ways to win, even in the limited free version. It is quick to learn but you should breeze over a couple of the tutorials offered on the spiritwars homepage. This is my personal pick for game of the year. Not to belabor the point but the limited version is free, no time limits, and well worth a look. And yes, enough people aren't playing this, so get your friend to play too. In-game chat makes it a social occasion as well. Thats all I have.
