Depths of Peril is Diablo meets. . . some sort of real time squad based (though I've only gotten one party member) fantasy game. Equal parts Rage of Mages, Magic & Mayhem perhaps. You run a covenant in a barbarian city - a guild in effect. There are rival guilds. You do quests for vendors/NPCs and basically compete with the rival covenants for domination of space and time (or maybe just the city).
In one hour, I've been encouraged. One covenant beat me to the punch on a quest in town. I've been battling it out with another for the lead in "influence" (sort of like convenant money, gained from whomping and quest completing and such). There's a hall you can deck out with things that boost the covenant (e.g. a bookshelf for magic books). There's diplomacy (my Jets have a great thing going with the Brotherhood of Steel), 4 character classes, a very D2-esque character development system (3-4 skill tabs to spend skill pooints on, attributes to imporve, etc).
I was kind of impressed in limited play. It seems like there's potential here. I'm not sure how the AI is going to hold up, but if it's any good it should be a pretty unique experience.
