I just downloaded the Flatspace II demo, but the setup filename didn't have "demo" in it, and the game asked for activation when I started it up.
I'd have just bought it, but I'm trying to run it in Cedega on Linux, so I really don't know if it's going to work.
Link error? Suggestions?
Elektro: I've only run it under Windows, but I assume a Linux emulator will work more or less the same way.... When you start the game, there's a screen that asks you to activate, but one of the choices is "Activate later".... basic idea is that you can play for a time to check it out before you decide whether or not it's worth buying.
Let me know if you're experiencing something different... Don't have Cedega, but I could try the game in Wine on my Linux box, to see what happens there.
The first dialog is "Please select how you would like to activate Flatspace II." Internet and Phone radio buttons are displayed (and no Activate Later). There are Back, Next and Cancel buttons.
Back seems to just exit the program. Cancel confirms that I'm sure I want to exit, and exits if so.
Selecting Next with either option displays activation code entry fields and a Buy button. Again, no Activate Later.
Perhaps this activation wrapper doesn't work properly under Linux with Cedega. It's too bad, but that's basically my question answered.
