Spammed on this e-mail address

The e-mail address I gave up for this site (and this site only) is displayed publicly somewhere on this site and now I started receiving spam on it.

Annoying... I'll note though that you had it set up as a "public" email address, meaning visible to others on your profile page. (I just edited your account so it's now private--closing the barn door, perhaps.) Meaning also that spiders could pick it up.

Maybe I should just delete the "public email" field for users, though.

How careless of me, I don't usually make that kind of error and I'm a bit ashamed that I did this time. Thanks for taking the time to edit.

I've setup a new addy for this site and blocked the old to 'close the barn door'. I'll give you a heads-up if somehow spiders pick that up.
