Charming Style

If this game were for Mac I'd definetly buy it and I think something with this sort of rich visual style (with writing straight out of a Calvin and Hobbes graphic poem) has a place in that market. The gameplay is a bit tug of war, but I suspect the full unit coterie makes it much more interesting. RTS, streamlined with an avatar with a side-scrolling perspective, three good things rolled into one solid package.

This game is a testament to what rich, idiosyncratic art style can do for a title's appeal. A girl I know walked by while I played this and said it looks like fun. She wasn't judging the mechanics, she was judging the presentation, and thats fine. We could all learn a lesson from Joe Carlson's blend of aesthetic and utility in art asset creation.
