Missing something?

Played the demo, dropped the five bucks on the full version, installed it, started playing... and now I'm stuck.

I'm at the very beginning of the game. The cop leaves, the rabbi says he needs to pay a visit to the dead guy's family. So I leave the synagogue... and there's no other place I can go on the map of NYC.

Am I missing something with the UI? I tried clicking on every object in the synagogue, with both buttons. The only thing that does anything is the computer, and I don't have the login or password yet.

I'm so early in the game that I feel like the problem must be something very obvious...

For starters, look at your ID card in your inventory.

HI :)

If you hit the hit screen with your mouse, i.e. take your mouse all the way up you'll discover that you have two things in your inventory a) a dictionary and b) a business (or ID card).

You need to find some information about the rabbi's user name. (hint: it has something to with what you're using right now to read this message - and it is NOT a computer).

Reading the dictionary is also very helpfull ;)

I'm a new user/member and I want to try Shivah. How do I do this?

Go to the Shivah's page (http://www.manifestogames.com/shivah), and click "download" under "Demos Available" in the left column.

I've tried a bunch of combinations from the dictionary and his name, but I'm still stuck. are the user name and password just one word each?

I have never played a game before. I have figured out the password for the Rabbi's computer, but I am stopped at the computer in Sharming Fashion Design. Any hits would be appreciated.

I have finally entered the computer at Sharming Fashion Design. But I still don't seem to be making much progress. Seems like the search funtion on Rabbi Stone's computer does not work very good.
