Okay, I am stuck. I have the sludge machine, but I can't get into Halloween Hills and I didn't save the druid from the vampire village. I have been all over trying to figure out what to do next, but I can't seem to get anywhere. Thanks.
You got the SludgeMaster before you entered Halloween Hills? I didn't think you could get it until you received the quest for it in New Witchwood. O_o
Are you by any chance using a savegame from version1 to play version2? If so, you need to start over. The two versions are incompatible due to major map and quest changes and additions.
In version2, you need to restore the Druid of Music's soul to him, after which he'll give you his key to Halloween Hills. He is in the Land's End Temple, and the daeva holding his soul is at the very top of Mt Orion, on the west side of the Land's End map.
No, I entered Halloween Hills and talked to everyone and left to get the sludge master, killed a vampire on the way out and then was locked out.
Hmmm... Does this help? Where is the Druid of Music?
If you're sure you're not using a savegame that was ever used in version1 or a goodie not specifically made for version2, there are some things to try, but I don't want to do all that typing if it is dure to either of those errors. Please tell me if either of those applies.
Also, did you unlock the gate to Halloween Hills before you went in the first time?
(I told you in the post above where the Druid of Music is. ;))
I didn't have to unlock the gate to go into Halloween Hills the first time. Does that mean I am using a version 1 save game in a version 2 game?? I bought the game and then two days later was notified of an upgrade. So I downloaded the upgrade and then played the game...Maybe I will just start over, I'm not that far along... only about 9 hours of wasted time! lol.
Thanks for your help. (Sorry about not noticing the Druid's location!) I am being a bad mom and sneeking in some playing time in between teaching subjects!!! lol.
@crazy: I do believe you continued playing with your savegame from version1, and that will cause various game-stopping bugs, such as you encountered. Better to find out now, though, that later on, right? At least it will be easier this time around because you know where a lot of the earlier places are.
Happy adventuring. :)
Thank you so much!
