Two bugs-please help (if there is a solution)

I have run into two bugs and the forums are down right now.

1. The final chamber does not reaveal Zarich when I am trying to rescue Rashnu in Ghed’ahre. So there is no orb to free the druid. I dug up secret chamber in graveyard. Nothing else in it. I did find the lamp which doesn’t do anything but give me a riddle.

2. I finally took a wife to the boat dealer and he sold me the boat. Only when I travel in it and disembark, my character “floats” everywhere and can not open doors or encounter monsters. I even had her cross the ocean. I did not save the game after floating so that is good. I did install patches from the website.

Any advice on these two bugs?

1. You need another item to use with Leyrvo's Lamp, which you should have found in the Cathedral Basement. To get the other item, talk to the Hippie Vampires in Ghed'ahre. (Don't worry, they're unstakeable.) WHen you have both items, a secret door will be revealed in the graveyard hole.

2. This is a bug that happens when boarfing the Rowboat with the Speed Crystel activated. To prevent it, always deactivate the crystal before boarding your Rowboat, then reactivate it when you get to your destination. THere is a workaround for it, but it is much easier to just prevent it. (And don't try to take advantage of the bug. It corrects itself unexpectedly, and can leave you stranded with no hoe of getting anywhere.)
