Casual Game? Well, sure... But it's a great example of game design!

One of the simplest turn-based games you'll ever play (everything is one click, so right mouse buttons need not apply) but it's also VERY deep as well...

1) Should you use some of your "followers" to start mining and building up your technology for the impending battles (i.e. a few hundred well-armed soldiers with catapults and crossbows)?
or...
2) Should you concentrate on expanding your network of cities (by building roads) and increasing your population that could potentially form the ranks of your army against the barabarians (i.e. thousands of people fighting with their fists!)

There's plenty of decisions like that... and they all impact the resolution of the battle with the barbarians.

The game is sort of a mix between Minesweeper (unveiling squares which represent the fog of war) and Civilization (for lack of a better comparable game).

I highly you download and try the demo.... It's very addictive, and chock full of replay value -- I've probably spent 12 hours already and haven't even come close to beating all of the Pharaoh's Challenges or the Campaign mode on Hard.

GREAT GAME! Well done "Mind Control Software"! (also the makers of Field Commander for the PSP, another fun diversion "on the go").
