Curious if anyone else has had this problem.

As of about two hours ago, we had three player reviews posted for SpiritWars, and it appears that they have disappeared.

If its a by-product of changes/work being done, that's cool; but just in case it's a bug, I thought I should mention it.

Dang.

And demo downloads aren't working either.

A recent change has rendered something screwy--hopefully we can roll it back.

I suspect the data is still in the DB, and we should be able to restore them, but more when I know more.

No problem. Just figured you'd want to know in case no one had let you know yet.

All in all, I think for a "soft" launch, its all pretty impressive. (And if the data isn't hidden there in the database somewhere, my folks are pretty loyal and I'm sure they'll wander back and repost if they need to.)

Hope you're whole weekend isn't too stressed..

Actually, the "demo downloads not working" is apparently ONLY for games that have user reviews.

Odd. Probably a recent fix we need to roll back, but we need to figure outwhat and why.

Weekends? Who needs no stinking weekends. Why the reason we left the vile conventional industry was precisely to get away from absurd hours and mandatory overtime and...

Oh, wait a minute

We have temporarily disabled user reviews to get the downloads working. They'll be back...

Once upon a time, many (about 30+) years ago, I worked one summer on a mushroom farm as a picker. (Yeah, they do grow in the dark, in crap, and you get to wear a nifty little miner's hat so you can see to pick them as you're laying face down in crap!)

Anyway, little did I know at the time that it was actually grooming me for my future life as independant game developer. The company had a firm policy that for the first three months you worked there, you were required to take a day off once a month - whether you needed it or wanted to. (Of course, once you passed that tenure point, you didn't have to miss precious work days anymore. The foreman who ran my "pick the mushrooms out of the crap" team bragged that she hadn't taken a day off in over six years.)

And the pay was similar too, now that I think about it. I think we made a dollar an hour. And got time and a 1/2 for anything over 60 hours in a given week.

Anyway, this is fixed now, I think. Thanks, James.
