| Near Flawless I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The only thing holding this game back is the fact that it still remains one of the best kept secrets on the 'net. If you like CCGs and Board Games, You'll love Spiritwars. Personally, I liken it to a game of chess where you and your opponent are using a different opening EVERY time. Whether it's a quick blitzkrieg with all your pumped up scouts, a slow and steady march into enemy territory with your big beefy units, or a war of attrition as your archers and spellcasters chip away at your opponents defenses, Spiritwars is a game of endless variation as the armies and terrain of both you AND your opponent are constantly changing. As mentioned by others, even if Spiritwars weren't such an astoundingly brilliant and deeply layered strategy game it would be worth try out just for the playing environment. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy some stimulating entertainment with mature adults (Not that the game is "Adult" in any way), then do yourself a favor and give Spiritwars a try. |
