Graphics: 4/10
The graphics in Taskforce are extremely minimalistic, but they work. All the 3D models in the game are pretty low-poly and the textures are mostly simple. The graphics are totally 90's and to some players, this might be the reason of not buying this title. Personally, I dont mind, tho. Gameplay over eyecandy.
The interface is very clean and it has no effects/gliz what-so-ever. It suits this game well, tho. Its not pretty, but it works.

Sound & music: 5/10
As with the graphics, the sound effects in this title are very minimalistic and there is no music at all. The lack of music *could* help build up the atmosphere, but some in the background wouldnt hurt, really.

Gameplay: 8/10
The gameplay in this case is very similar to the turn-based strategy games like X-com and Jagged Alliance, though it might be somewhat more simple. One thing that really got to my nerves is the "pick up" function. In order to pick something from the ground (you dont know what it is until you take it), you need to repack your weapon. The default weapon (carbine) cannot fit into your bag, so you must drop it on the ground. If you drop it on the same tile as the thing you wanted to pick up in the first place, you'll end up taking the carbine instead of the unknown item. If you want to take the unknown thing, you need to drop carbine into another tile, move to the item you want, pick it up, repack it, move back for the carbine and pick that up. Most annoying, if you ask me.

Overall: 6/10
Taskforce includes alot of content, wrapped in ugly (sorry...) clothes. If I didnt know better, I would assume this to be a beta release and that stuff like music would be added in the final version. This (and many more) facts makes the price ($21) seem pretty steep.
Notes:You can clearly see that the devs have worked hard on making content, but at the same time forgetting to make it look good. Still, very good for a(basically) one-man team. If you are like me and you appreciate playability above looks, this might be good choice for you. I would try out the 60 minute demo before putting my money on it, tho.
