Mexican Motor Mafia

Drivin' an' Shootin'

The first thing you notice about Mexican Motor Mafia is that the music is seriously kick-ass--as is the introductory sequence, carried in graphic novel-like images and text. It is also definitely not for the tots; your brother is executed, gangland-like, in front of his small children. You have to go after the killers, of course.

The actual game is a top-down driving-and-shooting game, something along the lines of the original GTA. You use the WASD keys to tool around, aiming with the mouse and blasting away at enemies, driving into towns along your route for new ammo, equipment, better cars, and so on.

There's a "strategic" map that lets you drive along Mexican highways, but when you enter a particular area, you transition to an 'arena' map with a bunch of baddies, whom you have to blow away to complete the level. Often, you won't do so the first time you try, since different approaches are necessary on different levels--but if you lose, you simply lose some cash, and can retry.

Yes, there's a not-bad story here, and a sense of progress as you earn more cash and get better vehicles and guns--but fundamentally, this is a somewhat retro drivin-an-shootin game. If you like blowing things up real good, this game is for you.

The Developer Says
Drive around and Blow Sh!t up

Mexican Motor Mafia is a fun spirited western where you get to blow the ever lovin' crap out of just about everything.

It's not a traditional western in that the characters drive around in muscle cars rather than ride horses. But this is cool cause cars explode.

Son of a Bitch Must Pay!

Last night an escaped deathrow inmate known as "Priest" killed your brother, abducted your brother's kids, stole your car, and ran away to Mexico.

You're gonna kill him and his gang "The Red Texas Four".

You're also gonna save your brother's kids, and find your car. Man that was a sweet car.
