About:

Eric Brown and Asi Burak, armed with masters degrees in entertainment technology from Carnegie Mellon University, co-founded impactGames to influence society and promote change through interactive media. Toward this end, ImpactGames developed PeaceMaker, a video game inspired by real events in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. PeaceMaker has been featured in media outlets around the world and has won several international awards. The community support in the creation of the game has also translated into invitations for speaking engagements and events all around the world. Special Interest Groups such as The Gandhi Institute or the World Affairs Council have welcomed the initiative and offered their help in promoting the game in order to spread the messages and concepts contained within.

Unlike most serious games, PeaceMaker aims to bridge the gap between information and entertainmnet and reach a mass market. The interest people showed in understanding these issue better through playing PeaceMaker, even those that claim to have never played a video game before, represent the new market of interactive consumers. ImpactGames was founded in order to market and distribute PeaceMaker, as well as to create future titles that explore social and political issues affecting the world today.
