So Dominions III is shipping. A mixture of Civilization, Europa Universalis, High Magic and just about any mythology (real or fictional) that you can think of, and it's now in its third iteration. If that sounds at all intriguing, check out this After Action Report, and see why we'd like to work with Shrapnel (and Illwinter of course).

Also today I found Determinance, by Mode 7 Games - a high speed aerial swordfighting game, alas a work in progress still. Looks interesting, and the previews seem positive, although I wonder at the lack of comparisons to Mount & Blade (another game I wouldn't mind seeing here), the previous melee combat champion - in my mind, anyway. I also wonder if a game composed solely of combat has legs; even M&B has an RPG-like build-up of strengths, troop types and equipment. I guess we'll see.

As usual, too many games and not enough time to play them in. Let's hope those are the worst issues I have to deal with!

We're launched, and I got ... well, not a lot to say except "Yay!".

Now I return to tweaking the code that needs so badly to be tweaked. And you don't really want to read about pixel adjustments to divs, or dynamic CSS generation.
