Battle Castles

Now Get Ad-Supported Version for Only $6.75!

In addition to the ads-free version, available via the "download demo" and "buy now" links to right, we now offer an ad-supported version of the game for a very nice price. You're served an ad at game start-up, between levels, and sent to an advertiser's page when you close the game, but it's not too intrusive, and hey, the price is good. To get this version, don't click the links in the left-hand column, and instead go here:

The Developer Says

Point, click, BOOM! Your cannon fires followed by the sound of crashing timber as the battle ship that was about to target you is aflame. Wheel and target again as two more ships have appeared on the horizon and are preparing to fire upon your walls.

Battle Castles is retro arcade action at its finest!

I love cannons

Intense gunnery :) I like it, the basic mechanism is "shoot whatever comes your way before they reach you", with the usual successive waves and a time of rest in between, to repair & customize your castle. It really fits to this piracy setting. The musics are fine, the graphics as well, but really nothing extraordinary. It was fun for the 10 minutes I tried it (then there was a bug.. nothing left to shoot at, and no 'victory' declared), yet I don't think the price is justified. It's the kind of game that you play a lot for some time, one or two days maybe, depending on the lifespan, then stop and forget it. But try it anyway, it's worth a download :)

Lennard Feddersen fixed the bug reported here earlier; the current demo download no longer contains it.

But he also provided us with a version of the game costing less--at the expense of being exposed to ads. I'll be uploading that and making it available here to.
